Argentina Soccer Tour 2024

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

Taking a group of young soccer players to Argentina for a 10-day training experience with Chacarita Juniors was an incredible journey filled with growth and excitement. As someone who organizes these tours, seeing the boys step onto the training grounds of such a storied club was a moment of pride. The boys were eager to learn from Chacarita’s coaches, who are deeply rooted in the traditions of Argentine soccer. Each day was packed with intensive training, where they not only improved their technical skills but also gained a deeper understanding of the passion that fuels the sport in Argentina.

Beyond the pitch, the trip was designed to immerse the kids in the rich culture of Buenos Aires. We embarked on a food tour that introduced them to local favorites like empanadas and asado, giving them a taste of Argentine life. The timing of our visit was particularly special as Argentina had just celebrated their Copa América 2024 victory. Joining the locals in the streets to celebrate was an unforgettable experience that allowed the boys to feel the electric energy and national pride firsthand. This tour was not just about improving as soccer players but also about creating lifelong memories and building a connection to a culture that lives and breathes soccer.

Argentina Soccer Tour 2022

Taking a group of young soccer players to Argentina for a 10-day training tour with Banfield was nothing short of extraordinary. As someone who has seen firsthand the impact that these experiences can have, I was thrilled to witness these boys dive headfirst into the world of Argentine soccer. Banfield, with its rich history and commitment to youth development, offered an ideal environment for the kids to learn and grow. Every training session was an opportunity for them to sharpen their skills and embrace the intensity that defines Argentine soccer. Watching them absorb the lessons from Banfield’s coaches and apply them on the field was incredibly rewarding.

But the tour was about more than just soccer. I wanted the kids to experience Argentina in its full depth, which is why we embarked on a food tour and explored the vibrant streets of Buenos Aires. We tasted everything from the savory asado to the sweet alfajores, giving the boys a real taste of the culture. The joy of exploring a new country and immersing ourselves in its soccer culture made this trip an unforgettable adventure. Seeing the boys grow not just as players, but as individuals, is what makes organizing these tours so fulfilling.

The 2021 Greece Soccer Scouting tour was a complete success. Together with USA Stars Academy, we were able to put together a productive soccer tour.
We completed multiple showcases in which some of our players were scouted and were invited to play by local professional clubs. Our younger players were able to experience soccer at a professional level and test themselves overseas, against a different kind of opposition.

Besides the soccer experience, players were able to experience the Greek landscape and culture.

“It was a great play by Elisha (Burbridge). He was really strong holding the ball up and he laid it off for Adrian who was running off of him,” said head coach Dave Blomquist. “It was a two-man interchange that was really insightful, and it was quite the banger from Adrian as well, so that was fun.”
Both Preciado and Burbridge entered the match as substitutes and had a noticeable impact, showing the depth of this Cougars roster.

After a thrilling 4-3 victory over Cal Poly Pomona, Azusa Pacific looked to continue their success against conference foes, Point Loma. The Cougars showed just how dangerous their attack can be as they defeated the Sea Lions 3-1.
